About this trip

What this trip is about

JANITZIO NIGHT EXPERIENCE

On the night of November 1st, we will cross Lake Pátzcuaro to Janitzio, where thousands of candles illuminate the cemetery in one of the most breathtaking scenes in Mexico. Families honor their loved ones with flowers, food, music, and traditional altars, creating a unique atmosphere between the spiritual and cultural worlds.

TRADITION IN MICHOACÁN

We will visit the most symbolic towns of this tradition: Pátzcuaro, Janitzio, and Tzintzuntzan. Each offers a different perspective of Día de Muertos: markets, altars, rituals, and a deep connection to Mexican culture.

PARICUTÍN VOLCANO

One of the most impressive landscapes in Mexico. We will hike across lava fields and volcanic ash trails to reach the crater of Paricutín, the youngest volcano in the Americas and one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. Along the way, we will explore the ruins of San Juan Viejo, a church partially buried by lava.
